With its towering columns, the entrance to this 1906 colonial revival mansion is suitably grand. The interior has been meticulously restored, and rooms are luxurious. Furnished with high-end antiques, feather beds and quality linens, the spacious suites in the main house have large bathrooms fitted with extra-deep soaker tubs and a lavish selection of Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. Subtle shades of ivory and green characterize the traditional 19th-century French decor of ground-floor Room 2, with its separate sitting area and fireplace. Each of the two apartment-size third-floor suites (6 and 7) has been designed as a series of connecting rooms, with separate sitting areas and sun-filled bathrooms. In the spa, an aromatherapist custom blends essential oils, used in the soothing massages. It’s easy to see why the dining room, with its waterfront views and summer patio, is one of Prince Edward County’s foodie favourites.
