Perched on a cliff overlooking Georgian Bay, newly opened E’Terra strives for green luxury. The LEED building, made with stone hewn from a local quarry and reclaimed Douglas fir timbers, houses six suites, all with a glimpse of the bay below. Ground-floor rooms have walk-out patios, while those on the upper floors are all two storeys with lower-level sitting rooms. Heated flagstone floors, plasma TVs and silk-filled duvets add to the luxe quotient. Eco touches abound, such as organic cotton pillows filled with kapok and buckwheat, and flaxen robes ready to warm you up after a swim. Energetic guests can access the Bruce Trail from the property or rent a kayak and paddle in the bay.
