This upscale Kawartha resort seems to be constantly expanding. Though the new two-storey wing looks austere from the outside, its 12 guest rooms offer amazing views. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and each one has a private patio or balcony. Other accommodation includes private cottages and an impressive six-bedroom 1837 house built of square-cut logs. The resort’s spa offers massage and aesthetic services. The nine-hole golf course is another draw, as is the elegant dining room. A good number of local cottagers arrive by boat to enjoy the Swiss-influenced cuisine.
