Since it opened in 2002, the sensibly priced walk-up hotel on Stratford’s busy Ontario Street has become so popular that four more rooms were added in 2004, bringing the total to 14. Canadian art and design are featured throughout the colourful, contemporary inn. The in-room CD collection also features local talent who may have performed at the Tango café on the ground floor. Four standard rooms have pleasant views of the street. Larger rooms have Jacuzzi baths and electric fireplaces, the nicest of which is Room 209, with its beautiful views of the Avon River. Be prepared to walk up two flights of stairs, but staff will gladly help with luggage. Guests receive a 10 per cent discount card, good at Tango or Fellini’s Italian restaurant just across the street.
Driving Time:

How Much:
Su–Th $90–$165, F–Sa $110–$210; seasonal rates and packages vary.
