There are modern luxuries to be had at this 1880s B&B—all six guest rooms have ensuite bathrooms; and the local spa will send over a massage therapist by request. In winter, the Wild Rose room is popular for its fireplace and whirlpool tub. In summer, the Windsor and Blue Willow rooms are coveted for their lake views. The lounge has a pool table, hot tub, double-sided fireplace and television. But the real appeal lies outside. Algonquin Park is nearby; canoes are on hand for exploring Peninsula Lake; and racquets are available for the tennis court. The hiking and snowmobile trail is worth a jaunt. Guests can take advantage of gas barbecues or make the short drive to the popular 3 Guys and a Stove restaurant (705-789-1815) in Huntsville.
