The ordinary stucco exterior of this 1911 Vineland home belies the luxury inside. Three guest rooms offer a decidedly boutique hotel ambience. Especially elegant is the Retreat Room: its sheer grey drapes are the classy backdrop to a king-size bed, faux fur cushions, fresh flowers, a two-person jet tub and an oversized shower. Breakfast is served in a dining room that combines old (silver Victorian tea service) with new (brushed aluminum chandelier with black shades). Located in the heart of the Beamsville Bench, the B&B is handy for such restaurants as Zest (905-892-6474) in Fonthill and Olson Foods & Bakery (905-938-8490) in Port Dalhousie. Nearby wineries include the new Featherstone (905-562-1949), the pretty Angels Gate (905-563-3942) and Vineland Estates (905-562-7088, 1-888-846-3526).
