A recent renovation has added natural light and removed the sense of claustrophobia. Newly erected shelves are crammed with such luxe products as truffle paste, matcha tea and Himalayan salt. The shop lives up to its name, selling an array of spices, whole or ground, in small bags for home cooks and two-kilogram sacks for chefs. Indian ingredients are all here: lentils, basmati rice, pappadum and, in the freezer, paneer and whole-wheat chapati.
