This Vancouver-based chain is a far cry from the dingy old Asian supermarkets of yore. Here, cleanliness is an obsession: the food servers even wear surgical masks. Fresh seafood is another forte: there are tanks of lobster, crab, shrimp, clams, oysters and conches, plus 21 varieties of fish. In dry goods, there are more than 15,000 Asian imports. In the frozen foods section, Lean Cuisine is replaced by microwave-ready dumplings and dim sum.
