This independent grocery store has a small-town feel. Shoppers come for the chit-chat, staple grocery items and myriad house specialties. Frozen entrées include a devilishly rich mac-and-cheese. From the bakery wafts aromas of cakes and soft, chewy ginger cookies; jaw-dropping marbling (at reasonable prices) on rib-eye roasts erases any thoughts of diets; while chicken noodle soup is as good as Grandma’s. Other goodies—such as quiche or grilled teriyaki salmon—make supper a breeze. Friendly service is the icing on the cake.
