Owner Tahsin Solmaz used to run shops in Ankara and Istanbul, where he learned to make such Turkish delights as sucuk sausage. Now open five years, he offers a quality selection of halal meats and treats from his homeland and the Mediterranean. Don’t miss the stone-crushed, water-pressed Eskisi Gibi extra-virgin olive oil or the superb selection of imported juices (Turkish pomegranate and sour cherry predominate). Jams include the delectable D’Arbo, from Austria. Solmaz’s wife keeps the freezer full of her homemade borek (phyllo pastry filled with spiced beef), manti (a Turkish-style beef ravioli) and chicken kofta.
