Shopping at this Rosedale supermarket is a treat. The produce section is plentiful, and the prepped foods are staple cottage fare. The meat counter carries delicious marinated flank steaks and flattened chickens; marinated beef and chicken kebabs don’t cost much more than those at the grocery chains, but the quality of meat is much higher. Organic Irish salmon is the draw to an otherwise limited fish counter. The cheese selection is always interesting, and usually promotes a few patriotic rounds (raw-milk Maple Dale cheddar, for example). House breads are bettered by Ace Bakery loaves and Summerhill’s in-house sweets.
