In prepared foods, delectables include barbecued chicken (regular or organic), eggplant parmigiana and cabbage rolls. In the capacious produce area, you can find a dozen types of tomatoes, including the green zebra, with striped skin and a mild flavour. In meats, a new highlight includes Beretta’s vacuum-packed beef steaks, franks and ground turkey. Choice cheeses include Balderson Vintners cheddar (one version to be paired with red wine, the other with white) and Beemster, a Dutch-aged gouda. Gourmet olive oils add zest to any salad. Baked sweets are prepared in-store or brought in from Dufflet; Stonemill breads are fresh-baked on-site.
