Hong Tai Supermarket

It might be new, but this enormous supermarket is already extremely popular among Chinese locals. This is due in large part to the low prices and huge selection of fresh produce, meat and fish. In produce, highlights include crisp baby bok choy and bundles of tender Chinese broccoli. But the fish and meat counter is what really impresses: tilapia and striped bass swim back and forth in aquariums, and gigantic conches fill buckets in front of the counter. Pork, beef and chicken are also well represented, along with Ontario quail and quail eggs.
