With its barn beams and wooden counters, Denis Bénard’s shop is a comfortable place to have a coffee and a sandwich, and pick up a bottle of oil or a decent balsamic. But the real treasure is in the massive fridges at the back of the store, which hold an extraordinary range of filled pastas, from tiny raviolini to agnolotti (stuffed with smoked salmon and cream cheese or pesto and ricotta) to mushroom or butternut squash cannelloni.
