So many tarts, so little time. An interesting choice with its own ardent following is the chipotle-chocolate tart. No question, Stephanie Pick is at her best when she lets her imagination run wild. At Christmas, a wickedly dark chocolate pie is paired with candied orange zest and Chinese five-spice. But she also knows when to keep things simple: in summer, berry tarts are the order of the day. Squares of flavoured marsh­mallow are a simple pleasure. Pick is expanding her cake line this year, with such offerings as a pistachio dacquoise with raspberry buttercream and dark chocolate glaze. Closed Monday.
