Senses Bakery

With its plush seating, immaculate table settings and exquisite edibles, Senses Bakery lives up to its name. The display cases are laden with scrumptious breakfast pastries and tantalizing single-portion cakes, including the cherished Chocolate Blackout (layers of rich chocolate cake, dark chocolate ganache and luscious caramel) and the Passionate Framboise (a chocolate tart filled with a raspberry and passion fruit gelée and cream). Chocolates are another serious showstopper. Made by Vancouver-based artisan Thomas Haas, the selection of bonbons is irresistible: for a burst of tart flavour, try the white chocolate ganache with kalamansi gelée. Some of the cakes are stocked in larger sizes; others may be custom ordered.
