Housed in a brightly lit shop, Rahier supplies her patrons with superior baked goods. On weekdays, devotees arrive early to snap up fresh baguettes. On weekends, loaves of brioche and cramique sell out. The croissants, fruit tarts and cakes are deservedly famous, and cookies—crispy palmiers, crunchy romias and soft vanilla madeleines—fly off the shelves. Sorbets and ice creams—in such rich, classic flavours as pistachio, raspberry, mango and passion fruit—are sold by the bucket. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
