In a neighbourhood saturated with European patisseries, chef-owner Marc Tournayre holds his own. The baguette-thin shop is always bustling with newspaper readers, croissant nibblers and Leasiders channelling their inner Parisian. A cornucopia of sculpted French desserts come in a variety of sizes; silky lemon curd tarts and the Manon (a flourless chocolate biscuit with dark and milk chocolate mousse) are both top sellers. Gallic grub includes quiche lorraine and du Puy lentil salad, and on weekends Swiss-style pizzas topped with egg have a loyal following.
