The innumerable apothecary jars and displays are filled with all manner of dried (formerly alive) substances. English-only speakers may find communicating with staff difficult, but persistence will lead to a sublime adventure: there are dried oysters, white and black fungus, sea cucumbers and geoduck. Dried fruits include mangoes and goji berries. Other items are representative of the other aspect of the business: traditional Chinese medicine.
