This shop dispenses products primarily for use in traditional Chinese medicine; in fact, an on-site practitioner will prescribe dried herbs and flowers for customers in search of medical assistance. And though some of this stuff is downright weird—Gobi Desert moss and dried lizards, for example—some of it can be used for cooking, too: pungent red wolfberries for chicken stews, dried lily buds for hot and sour soup, and conpoy scallops for seafood dishes. All the dried fungi and molluscs are graded by size and quality, as is the ginseng.
