After a 26-year run as a “buy low, sell low” veggie store, a revamped Ko is now an upscale alternative along Roncey’s produce row. Daily Food Terminal trips by owner Clark Ko yield high-quality goods. Organic and seasonal treats abound, such as heirloom tomatoes, fiddleheads, zucchini flowers, organic mission figs, chanterelle mushrooms, organic Ontario strawberries, purple new potatoes, Hawaiian garlic and Mexican key limes. An in-store juice counter uses organic produce to make excellent fruit and veg chillers.
