Avenue Seafood

Toronto’s most enthusiastic fishmonger is Avenue owner Winnie Shao, who bubbles over with excitement about her shop’s marine offerings. Everything is of the highest quality. Wild B.C. halibut is a store favourite, as are the chemical-free “dry” scallops (no milky wetness here). Organics continue to dominate, with tilapia from the U.S. and Irish trout and cod topping the list. Oysters, wild shrimp and organic Irish salmon are reliable standbys.
