Towering skids of eastern European treats—jarred pickles, sauerkraut, beets, herring— fill this bustling Polish deli. There are over 15 varieties of pork sausage: smoky kabanosy, garlicky kolbasa, and marjoram-seasoned farmer’s. Other meats include roast paprika-rubbed pork loin, meat loaves, pâtés, smoked ham and fresh rainbow trout. The in-store bakery cranks out dense dark rye bread, multi-grain loaves and egg buns, as well as such sweets as paczki (prune-filled doughnuts) and poppy seed popovers.
