Finding a good cup of goulash on the go is no easy mission, which is why Euro-friendly foodies flock to this international deli and specialty foods store, a neighbourhood staple for the past 20 years. Austrian master butcher Peter Reither stocks his shelves with goodies from all over the globe (almost everything but the maple syrup is imported), with a particular focus on the cuisine of his homeland. Veal, pork, and chicken schnitzels are a favourite, as are the 26-plus salads and slaws and seven flavours of house-made meat loaf. Regulars perch at a small deli counter and snack on made-to-order sandwiches, mac-and-cheese and chicken à la king (all priced by weight).
