Chef-owner Patrick Alléguède prepares delicious French dishes, ranging from duck confit and coq au vin to authentic tourtière and quiche, with assorted salads, pâtés and foie gras thrown in for good measure. Baked goods include customers’ favourite Valencia, a hazelnut-chocolate mousse cake, and Pinocchio, a chocolate brownie layered with dark chocolate ganache and pistachio buttercream. Alléguède’s pâtés are available vacuum packed for the refrigerator, or in Mason jars, perfect for storing in the pantry until needed. Breads and cookies are all top-notch. Closed Monday.
