This Japanese groceteria inside the J-Town Shopping Centre brings Tokyo to Toronto. There are packages of sliced lotus root, pickled plums and jellied yam cakes, a fridge full of misos and a freezer of grill-ready sliced beef, not to mention displays
of red bean cakes. Shelves of groceries—shoyu, sour ponzu sauce, soy and wasabi—are all lined up neatly. The array of teas is truly impressive, and there’s every kind of Pocky, rice, noodle and panko. Closed Monday.
