It started more than a quarter of a century ago, when B.S. Jajj opened this small supermarket with a view to supplying everyday Canadian groceries right alongside Indian staples. Two expansions later, the bright store sticks to the same proudly bicultural principle. These days, Pringles share shelf space with deep-fried curried lentil snacks. There are ready-to-eat curries and biryanis in the freezer, classic curry powder blends, plus rows and rows of pickles and chutneys.
