Brad Kurtenbach makes most of his 30 flavours of organic and locally sourced ice cream in his walk-in-closet-size shop on Queen West. Ten varieties (including the popular lavender-blueberry) are available in 80 stores across Ontario, but there are always more fascinating scoops at the shop. The Ice Kareemee (made with honey dates and a sesame ripple), Mo’ Fig (molasses and figs), and the chocolate-coffee-cayenne Chocolate Doo-Dah are among his more adventurous flavours. The shop also sells dairy-free organic slushies.
