Mary Offman has been a Kensington Market fixture since the days of live poultry and herring from a barrel—47 years, to be exact. Farm fresh eggs come in white or brown, and are sized from peewee to extra large. Cartons of 12 are available, but most customers opt for trays of 30 or cases of 180. Well-priced organic eggs come by the dozen. Double-yolk eggs are perfect for an ultra-rich omelette, while quail and turkey eggs offer something for the discerning chef. Tall pails of pasteurized liquid eggs are a baker’s best friend. Closed Sunday.
