A lovely and civilized place to while away a lazy afternoon, this former corner grocery on a tree-lined stretch of Dovercourt just south of Julie’s Cuban offers excellent light meals (try the scrambled egg wrap with sun-dried tomato pesto for brunch, $9.75), Metro teas, fair-trade coffee ($1.62–$2.38) and espresso drinks made with organic two per cent or soy. Young urban professionals keep their kids under control and their status anxieties at bay. Even the cellphones are silent.
