Formerly a government worker for the Ministry of Plantations in her native Sri Lanka, Marisha Golla is something of an authority when it comes to hot beverages. Her Rosedale shop specializes in classic loose-leaf teas—with a stunning selection, including rare Vietnamese green teas and handmade flower teas from the Fujian Province of China. Golla will blend tea to match the seasons—a spring-summer mix features dried apricots, sunflowers and strawberries with rose petals—and is happy to make custom herbal blends for health ailments. Those who prefer the classics may mull over six different earl greys and nearly 20 darjeelings, all sold according to estate. Customers can also drop by her tea counter in Pusateri’s (in both locations, on Avenue Road and in Yorkville).
