Cocoa Canadiana includes loonies, icewine truffles and moose droppings (chocolate-covered almonds). Fair-trade bars from Cioccolato Quetzal sit cheek-by-jowl with premium offerings from Dolfin and Swiss Delice. Real insect lollipops aren’t just for entomologists: the de-venomed scorpion version often sells out. Eighteen flavours of Maypole Dairy ice cream are scooped in summer; hot chocolate is poured the rest of the year
