Simone Marie Belgian Chocolate

When Belgian-born chocolatier Simone Marie Coenen immigrated to Toronto in 1992, she couldn’t find chocolate here that was up to European snuff. Filling this void, Coenen’s boutique carries truffles and squares imported from Belgium’s small, family-run chocolate houses. Purists will appreciate flavours and fillings that largely adhere to Old World tradition (mint or champagne); more curious chocovores will delight in the nouveau pieces—perhaps a beautifully decaled lime-infused truffle. Should you want your company’s logo or beloved’s face imprinted on a chocolate or wrapper, no problem.
