The Butchers

All the meat in this lovely wood-floored shop is organic or naturally raised. The pork, lamb and beef are from Field Gate, and chicken and game birds (like guinea fowl) come from local Mennonite farms. More adventurous offerings include bison, ostrich, kangaroo and alligator. Other meats are cubed and kebabed, ground into burgers or sausages (duck with orange is particularly wonderful), stuffed (lamb with spinach and Swiss cheese) or marinated in various flavours. The owners have also installed a tandoor and a smoker.
