Royal Beef

Armed with a wit as sharp as her knives, owner Carmen Estrela delivers good humour along with sage advice. As the shop’s name suggests, beef is the draw. Cut from aged Alberta Angus, steaks include the best-selling tri-tip sirloin and the butcher’s favourite, hanger. Plump chickens and succulent ribs draw the grill jockeys in summer, as do additive- and preservative-free house-made sausages and burgers. The cheese case offers everything you need for a quick pasta dinner. Fresh ricotta and cannoli are Saturday-only treats.
