This little shop has a sterling reputation and a loyal flock of customers. Beef—specifically, aged Alberta Angus—is the heart of Royal Beef’s business. The tri-tip sirloin is a specialty, seasoned with the house’s own best-selling steak spice. Also popular is the pork tenderloin filled with bread and sage, and ready-to-grill flank steaks stuffed with ground veal and pork. Fresh Ontario Dorset lamb, chicken and pork round out the meat selection. The deli counter, with its Italian cold cuts (including Parma bresaola) and antipasti, is also strong. Closed Monday.
