After half a lifetime of apprenticeships and travel, owner and head butcher Frank Del Gobbo is back home, dishing out some of the finest premium meats and gourmet grab-and-go food in the city. In Europe, he perfected the skill of dry-aging and trimming meats in the Old World tradition, and to uncover the secrets of true barbecue, he headed to the Deep South, where he entered ’cue contests. His pristine display cases and windowed meat locker are filled with fantastically marbled cuts. The array of naturally raised, local meats, free-range poultry and house-made prepared foods is bound to boggle indecisive carnivores. The charcuterie is a true highlight.
