Not only has the Bielak clan owned and operated Grace Meat Market for the past five decades, they also run the slaughterhouse that supplies the beef, veal and lamb—which means that the butcher’s case is stocked with the best cuts and freshest meat. They can also cut meat to suit the needs of the fussiest chef. It’s a far cry from old times, when families would often come in to order a whole side of beef or veal; these days, you’re as likely to find young professionals stopping in for a selection of hot prepared foods, not to mention fresh bagels from Gryfe’s. A range of cheeses, packaged spices and fresh items rounds out the offerings.
