It might be a Christmas favourite, but Mary Macleod’s shortbread is so good that her business booms year-round. Varieties include toasted rolled coconut and butterscotch (less crunchy than their plain cousins, and highly recommended). With fans across the continent, the little shop is the front for a mail-order empire.
