There’s overwhelming choice at this family-run Italian bakery in Port Credit, where everything’s made from scratch. Among the 30-plus different types of bread is Multihealth, with nine grains, blueberries, cranberries and walnuts, and hot pepper–stuffed Vienna, one of 20 flavours of the slim loaf. In a display case running the length of the store, half a dozen flavours of biscotti jostle for space with gingerbread, cream-filled cannoli, and jewel-like fruit tarts. Home-style pizzas come topped with potato and sweet pepper, and trays of frozen lasagna are ready to take home and reheat.
