Epi Breads

This artisanal bakery opened its doors in 2005, and it’s already hard to imagine the city without it. Slow-rise sourdoughs (some of them organic) are chewy, some studded with black olives, others with pumpkin seeds. Pecan fruit bread is the Rolls-Royce of muesli, loaded with cherries, currants, cranberries, dried apples and pecans; spelt flour loaves are lovely. The space has room for strollers and tables, where customers can linger over such offerings as hot cross buns, meat pies and pain aux chocolat.
