Located a few feet behind the display counter, the kitchen in this homey Kingsway bakery offers customers a spectacle: lemons being juiced and carrots being grated for their respective cakes. In keeping with the bake sale theme, there are squares aplenty (such as peanut butter bars topped with chocolate icing). At Christmas, gingerbread house kits include a pre-built, freshly baked domicile and a decorating pack with candies and icing. Bundles of eight unadorned sugar cookies (bunnies for Easter, snowmen for the holiday season) are sold with three shades of icing, ready for kids to decorate. Iced cakes come in chocolate, vanilla, carrot and lemon, along with a monthly flavour selection.
