“Tight hamstrings,” says owner Kathryn Beet, sizing up a potential student, “but open hips.” Her assessment is dead-on—not surprising, considering she’s been practising for 25 years and teaching for 15. For the past three she’s been teaching out of this 4,000-square-foot studio, which includes two sizable practice rooms, both equipped with hardwood floors and a superior air circulation system. The schedule lists 65 drop-in sessions per week, taught by almost 40 teachers. They offer a wide variety of classes, such as hatha, Iyengar, restorative, yoga flow, pre- and postnatal workshops, Pilates, vinyasa and Anusara-inspired yoga.
How much:
single session (90 min.) $17, six months $750, one year $1,250; one week unlimited classes (new students only) $20.
