If you like your yoga with props—blocks, belts, weights and assorted objects—Iyengar is the way to go. It increases strength, stability and alignment. And this is a good place to practise it: going strong since 1972, classes are held in a spacious second-floor space, in three spotless renovated studios. Certified instructors move throughout the class, correcting postures and adjusting students’ poses, paying attention to individual health concerns.
How much:
three introductory classes $46; Level one and two classes from $20, Level three and four classes $26; package discounts.
