Downward Dog Yoga Centre

Dedicated entirely to an adaptation of ashtanga yoga, DD offers a host of classes. The larger Queen West location has two studios: one holds up to 50 students and a smaller one is for workshops, beginner classes and groups. It’s not all cardio-powered positions: gentler options include the popular restorative classes, which use props such as blankets and bolsters in a quiet, candle-lit room. At the helm of the busy, focused operation are owners Ron Reid and Diane Bruni, who each have 20 years of yoga experience.
How much:
single class $16, 10-class pass $130, annual pass $1,350.
