Yoga studio, retail shop, holistic treatment centre and spa, this spot is a gleaming ambassador of the feel-good life. At three floors, the bright complex seems as if it’s an indulgent weekend retreat or boutique hotel. (If they took reservations, you’d be tempted to stay overnight: the swanky locker rooms boast showers and private bathroom stalls.) 889 Yonge is a “green” business—the decor is chemical-free and non-toxic—even the upholstery is 100 per cent natural fibre. Grab a glass (no plastic!) of water from the air-water generator (water is taken from the atmosphere) in the third-floor lounge before participating in a yoga class. Drop-in classes are all about flow and include Detox Flow and Athlete Flow. Workshops and private instruction are also available. The full-service holistic therapy centre offers acupuncture, cupping and various other alternative therapies.
How much:
drop-in classes $20, four-class pass $66, one-month unlimited pass $135.
