The Pilates Body Studio

This small Port Credit studio was redecorated last year in calming browns and blues, but don’t let that fool you: classes definitely don’t double as nap time. Taught by seven or eight Stott-trained instructors, and capped at six students, sessions incorporate light equipment, even for mat-based lessons. And there’s a wealth of high-tech gear: four Reformers, a ladder barrel, smaller barrels, a Cadillac and four stability chairs. Beginners are urged to take a private lesson before enrolling in a 12-week course. Instructors work with referrals from physiotherapists, but can offer post-rehabilitation classes and help for injuries without referral.
