Owner Vladimir Vasiliev spent a decade in a special operations unit of the Soviet Spetsnaz, and has adapted the fighting techniques he learned—which date back to the 10th century—into a program known as The System. Through a variety of punches, kicks, holds and chokes, suburban commandos are trained to deal with multiple opponents, and to defend and fight with knives, sticks and chains. If you are accepted (students must attend two trial classes first), within three or four months you will learn to defend yourself properly.
How much:
no initiation fee, monthly fee $50–$90.
