Launched in 1972, the central location is now one of eight in Toronto. It started off small, but currently attracts 5,000 students to its more than 100 weekly classes. The regular program is a “modern mixed-martial system” consisting of karate, jiu-jitsu, grappling, kick-boxing and kobudo weapons training. Specialty programs include Bully Proof (for schoolchildren), Budo Bliss (a yoga, martial arts and Zen meditation fusion) and Cardio Combat (a martial arts fitness class).

no initiation fee, membership fee $70–$75 per month.
