Students don’t come here for the ambience. Instead, they come for Grand Master Jong Park, a tae kwon do pioneer who’s been teaching in Canada since 1968. A ninth-degree black belt, Park is aided by his son and two other instructors. Progress depends on the individual, but two or three sessions a week are suggested. Members are free to take advantage of the weights, benches and punching bags.
How much:
no initiation fee, monthly fee $50–$60, annual fee $600–$700.
