FACT comprises a number of martial arts schools. Jeet kune do, developed by Bruce Lee, is dubbed “the way of no way”: aesthetics don’t matter, street fighting does. Students learn to handle anything that comes at them—from baseball bats to hockey sticks. Wing Chun, a more traditional style of self-defence, teaches practitioners to use both arms simultaneously, in order to attack as well as defend. Also on offer are The System, 14th-century martial arts, dagger play and hand-to-hand combat.
How much:
no initiation fee, $100 per month.
